Realization

What is a career?  Is it a job we do for money or is it a job we do because we have a passion that drives us to do it no matter what?  After  a decade of working as an accountant for a variety of different companies from Boston to San Francisco I was bored with my "career".  I looked in the mirror and knew the 10 year old me would not recognize the man looking back at me in the mirror.  What did I want to do when I was 10?  I always wanted to work in professional sports, but had applied to many accounting jobs in sports without ever receiving a call back.  It was time for a change.  Today is my 32 birthday, by this time next year if I am not closer to my future goals then I am a failure.
